Atlanta, GA \u2013 March 15, 2017 \u2026 The film \u201cThe Last Time\u201d made its debut in true grand Hollywood style, setting the bar high in the independent film market. This red carpet premiere was held on Thursday, March 2 at Landmark Midtown Art Cinema in the heart of downtown Atlanta to an audience of almost 400 movie goers from near and far.<\/p>\n
Guests received heartfelt opening remarks from The city of Atlanta\u2019s 1st Lady Sarah-Elizabeth Reed (wife of Mayor of the City of Atlanta, Kasim Reed); Dr. Yamma Brown, (daughter of legendary James Brown); and Vicky Kimbrell, Esq., of the Georgia Legal Services Program.<\/p>\n
Starring Reece Odum, Wardell Richardson, Tommy Ford, Charmin Lee, and DeEtta West, \u201cThe Last Time\u201d chronicles the journey of a modern-day power couple whose seemingly perfect public life contradicts their private life which is rife with domestic abuse. The film was written and directed by Justin Poage of Fifteen Studios and executive produced by Tiffany Hill.<\/p>\n
\u201cI am excited to have this film project as a platform to continue the discussion of domestic violence on a grand scale,\u201d said Hill, executive producer, who decided to make the film after experiencing domestic abuse in a previous marriage. \u201cI want survivors of domestic abuse to feel supported and know that they have a voice. The compelling storyline regarding the challenges domestic abuse victims face will foster authentic conversation on self-worth and provide avenues for continued domestic violence advocacy and prevention.\u201d<\/p>\n
The producers on this project plan to utilize as many platforms that are available to ensure that this message of Domestic Violence Awareness reaches the masses.<\/p>\n
